New Apprentice Started

With our print guy, Josh, now living in South Africa we had to finally concede that the commute was never going to work.  And apparently it’s way more fun over there; something to do with the sea and sun. We still have him odds on to have an accident with a lion before the year is out.

So to celebrate we have found ourselves a new someone, Luke, who is working (under Ben’s careful eye) in our Digital Print Department on an apprentice scheme and we are really pleased with the appointment.  He is already showing better tea making skills than Ben and is able match Ben’s ability to make a mess in the kitchen.  We can only hope and pray that some print skill rubs off too at some point!  Having Luke on a full time basis will really help us as our work load has been increasing steadily over the course of the year.

Expanding to N. Ireland

8th September, 2009

We have recently expanded. Andy has moved and is now working from the coastal town of Portstewart in N. Ireland. It is rather cold and wet but it does have a very nice beach and some excellent ice cream.

He will be carrying on working just the same (with his three screens) whilst picking up a few extra clients in N. Ireland as well.  His long term goal is to establish a self-sufficient Media Collective office.  If he can stay away from the beach.

New premises are in development

29th June, 2009

We are very excited to be in phase one of establishing a new design and print production studio as we continue to grow out of our existing space.  The new premises will give us much more space as well as better access to our increasing client base.  It is our belief that the move to a larger, better situated space will be an important next step for us as a business, giving us the platform to increase our capacity in all areas.

Situated in Coleshill, at the crossroads of the M42 and the M6 the new offices will enjoy unbroken views of open countryside - the perfect place for inspiration, and a much easier place for everyone to get to!  We are part way through the first phase and are hoping to move into our new building in early Autumn.  Details of the exact location will be sent out as we head towards completion.

Our business roadmap says that we want to be a company that is generous; both with our hard earned cash and with our time.

Price reduction

While everyone seems to be increasing prices at the moment, we are happy to announce that we have just significantly reduced the prices of all our substrates (foamex, alu panel and correx) across the board. It’s just another of the ways that show our commitment to offering an excellent service to all our customers.

More options

We have also updated our online calculator to include 10mm and 19mm foamex, which increases the number of products that you can quote yourself. Get an instant online quote now.

lovecov.com

5th June, 2008

We have just helped launch a new website that we are really excited about: lovecov.com. The site has been launched as a springboard for a much more expansive philosophy and we will be helping to shape and develop this over the upcoming months and (hopefully) years. The site is aimed (as it’s name suggests) at the city of Coventry, and is supported by an ongoing marketing campaign, which includes billboards, beer mats in pubs, radio broadcasts and other initiatives, which we are also working on.

Although the site is for Coventry, the concept is for everywhere, so why not check it out. If you live in or near Coventry then sign up and get involved - it will be a great thing to be a part of. If you are not in Coventry then why not bring the philosophy to your home, workplace, college, town or city….

Competition winner

3rd March, 2008

Congratulations to Hannah Rich from London, who sent in the winning idea for our re-brand competition. We liked the simplicity of the concept and thought that it showed a perfect progression of our existing brand. We will unveil it to the world just as soon as we have worked out how to apply it to all of our publicity and communication.

Christmas shutdown

21st December, 2007

Happy Christmas to all.

We hope that as you relax and enjoy whatever holiday you have you find time to spend with the people that matter most to you this year.

We will be closing our design office from 1pm on Friday 21st December and re-opening on Thursday 3rd January. Our digital print facility will re-open on Monday 7th January.

Problem Solved.

3rd December, 2007

With the recent rise in our workload we recently decided to find ourselves another designer, who would not only be another pair of hands but would also compliment our existing skill set. We are pleased to say we found just the man. The recent arrival of Andy has meant that we can take on the extra work and still have time to sit around in our large, leather armchairs by the fire, thinking up punchy concepts while discussing the latest marketing and design trends. Yes, having Andy on board is excellent…
