New premises are in development

29th June, 2009

We are very excited to be in phase one of establishing a new design and print production studio as we continue to grow out of our existing space.  The new premises will give us much more space as well as better access to our increasing client base.  It is our belief that the move to a larger, better situated space will be an important next step for us as a business, giving us the platform to increase our capacity in all areas.

Situated in Coleshill, at the crossroads of the M42 and the M6 the new offices will enjoy unbroken views of open countryside - the perfect place for inspiration, and a much easier place for everyone to get to!  We are part way through the first phase and are hoping to move into our new building in early Autumn.  Details of the exact location will be sent out as we head towards completion.

Victims of our own Success?

12th May, 2009

Having launched what we thought was a generous customer referral scheme last year for schools and academies we were recently wondering why it has not produced many referrals.  Recently however we discovered why this may be the case. A headteacher explained that they didn’t really want to refer us, at least locally.  Their reason?  They suspected that we would produce equally excellent design solutions (which of course we would) for the other school and they quite liked the idea of standing out.

We are obviously delighted with the fact that our creativity and service is valued so much by our customers.  Maybe a re-think on that referral scheme is in order…

Colour

13th March, 2009

At The Media Collective we’re encouraged to spend some time doing work unrelated to clients. Work that doesn’t pay the bills. But work that keeps us creative.

So as part of this I’ve created a little booklet about colour. Some of its reference, some of its inspirational and some of its experimental. There’s some great colour related quotes in there by some of the masters of colour.

Its by no means perfect, and its certainly not a comprehensive guide. So if you’ve got any wise words to share about colour then pop them in the comments.

New Site

26th February, 2009

Welcome to the new site. We’ve been trying to get this live for a short while now but there has been so much going on at The Media Collective that we just haven’t found the time.

So what has been going on at TMC? Since Christmas we have had two births and one wedding and some good meaty projects to get our teeth stuck into, as well as rolling out our own rebranding

We will post up a bit more about the various projects we have been working on in the near future, but in the meantime take a look around and if you have any comments then please get in touch.

Price reduction

While everyone seems to be increasing prices at the moment, we are happy to announce that we have just significantly reduced the prices of all our substrates (foamex, alu panel and correx) across the board. It’s just another of the ways that show our commitment to offering an excellent service to all our customers.

More options

We have also updated our online calculator to include 10mm and 19mm foamex, which increases the number of products that you can quote yourself. Get an instant online quote now.

lovecov.com

5th June, 2008

We have just helped launch a new website that we are really excited about: lovecov.com. The site has been launched as a springboard for a much more expansive philosophy and we will be helping to shape and develop this over the upcoming months and (hopefully) years. The site is aimed (as it’s name suggests) at the city of Coventry, and is supported by an ongoing marketing campaign, which includes billboards, beer mats in pubs, radio broadcasts and other initiatives, which we are also working on.

Although the site is for Coventry, the concept is for everywhere, so why not check it out. If you live in or near Coventry then sign up and get involved - it will be a great thing to be a part of. If you are not in Coventry then why not bring the philosophy to your home, workplace, college, town or city….

Competition winner

3rd March, 2008

Congratulations to Hannah Rich from London, who sent in the winning idea for our re-brand competition. We liked the simplicity of the concept and thought that it showed a perfect progression of our existing brand. We will unveil it to the world just as soon as we have worked out how to apply it to all of our publicity and communication.
