“Our logo doesn’t say who we are anymore. It’s old and inconsistent and it’s hard to use.”
This was the start of a conversation and subsequent project to update the school logo at St Patrick’s. Understanding what wasn’t working was a big part of that initial discussion, as well as taking time to understand the history of the school and what elements of the old logo still had some relevancy. Armed with this we developed a plan to improve and expand the school brand.
The new school logo draws directly on elements from the old one but we started from scratch to create a clean, contemporary identity that reflects the school’s high standards and attention to detail. The circular logo is easy to use and we designed a new display in the entrance to expand on the new strapline and school values.
