Jump into the Jungle Book.
Children at this school have been wowed by their immersive Jungle Book inspired bespoke school wall graphic.
We were commissioned by Park Lane Primary School to help upgrade an empty brick school corridor covered in unsightly electrical conduit into an immersive ‘Jungle Book’ wall graphic space where Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera and the fearsome tiger, Shere Khan roam the jungle inside their school.
Time to get sketching.
The project started with some concept sketches and notes about how we could tell the story. This is laid on top of an accurate survey of the space so we know that our ideas will work once they are translated to print.
This rough sketch went through many iterations and developments before the final illustrations were created by our Design Team and presented to the client for final approval. Starting with sketches or written treatments saves a lot of time with costly changes later in the process.
Fit for purpose
As this area gets a lot of traffic, robust school wall graphics were used in the space - all fire-rated, of course. This has transformed the area from something dull into an area that has a real ‘wow’ factor. The added 3D elements of the characters and dense foliage of the jungle bring a cohesive feel to the corridor and provide a feeling of being immersed in the jungle setting. The sneering eyes and flickering tongue of snake Kaa slithering around the mahua tree immerse you in this joyful jungle setting - watch out for the creeping vines and giant leaves there may well be camouflaging bugs and toads hiding in the background!

We worked closely with the school on the interior design colours so that it all tied in with the new graphics for the area. The school did an excellent job of dressing the learning space with chairs, plants and soft furnishings to take this immersive wall graphic to the next level.
Now students, staff and visitors to the school have an immersive area where students can sit and relax with a book - Rudyard Kipling’s, The Jungle Book, of course!
